Student Assistant (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship)

Position Overview

The student assistant for the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) works as a member of a team supporting all student entrepreneurial activities across campus. She/he works closely with the CIE team to provide administrative support for the office, including program logistics and event promotion.

Reports To

Director of Programs

Essential Duties

Assists in daily administration for the CIE office, including answering phone calls, receiving visitors, and keeping visitor log.
Assists with promotional communication development to promote participation in events and programs.
Attends, participates in, and assists with planning and organizing CIE events.
Serves as a liaison to students and student organizations on campus.
Manages CIE s social media platforms and makes recommendations to optimize reach.
Assists with data tracking and recording.
Other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled students who can work in the office regularly (3 to 5 days each week and a few hours each day).
Candidates with relevant internship or work experience preferred.
Mature, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task.
Quick learner with a can-do attitude.
Great written and verbal communication skills.
Good photo editing skills and video editing experience.
Proficiency in social media targeting and communication.
Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
