Instructor (Health, Exercise Science & Recreation Management)

Position Description

The School of Applied Sciences, Department of Health, Exercise Sciences, and Recreation Management at The University of Mississippi is seeking applications for an Instructor position.¬  The desired appointment date is August 2019. This is a 9 month, non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor that will teach undergraduate courses in the area of therapeutic recreation and other related areas of study within the School of Applied Sciences.¬  Review of applications will begin immediately.¬  The position will remain open until filled or until an adequate applicant pool is established.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a graduate degree with at least one degree in therapeutic recreation, recreation therapy, or a closely related field.¬  Applicants must be a currently Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.¬  Successful candidates will have evidence of university-level teaching experience and/or at least 1 year of experience as a recreation therapist.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
