Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre (Theatre and Film)

Job Information The Department of Theatre & Film at The University of Mississippi invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre beginning August 22, 2019. An MFA, as well as a strong professional record in the theatre and/or film industry is required for this full time, tenure track, nine-month position. Responsibilities include teaching courses within our performance curriculum including musical theatre performance, private voice, and acting, maintaining a strong record of professional creative work outside of the department, performing service appropriate to the position, and directing in the department s season. The department currently enrolls 120 majors with 19 full time faculty and offers a BA in Theatre Arts and BFA in Theatre Arts emphases in Acting for Stage & Screen, Design & Theatre Production, and Film Production. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
