Summary:The Food Service Worker position is vital to achieving excellent customer service in dining locations. The Food Service Workers are responsible for the line display, cooking food according to recipes, and making a one-on-one connection with the customer.
Essential Tasks and
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and neat work station
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
Utilize proper food handling procedures and food safety knowledge
Take samples of all food items before serving the customers
Maintain a positive attitude, smile and greet customers as they approach the serving line
Be polite with customers during the transaction and make sure they are satisfied with their service before helping the next customer
Maintain daily temperature logs
Daily use of correct PPE for the task assigned
Cook and prepare foods according to the recipe
Responsible for using the correct portion controls when preparing and serving food items
Must have product knowledge to effectively service the customer and answer questions about the menu items on the line
Assist co-workers in setting up and breaking down stations as designated by the manager
Sweep and mop the floors
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and cutting boards
Separate and remove waste and place it in the appropriate receptacle
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by cart
Understand the proper use of and storage of chemicals used in the location. Be familiar with the chemical MSDS book and its contents.
Report all injuries immediately to your manager/supervisor
Additional Job Functions:
Cross-train in other areas as required by your manager
Work in other areas or departments as needed
Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the ARAMARK management team

Responsibilities:No direct supervisory responsibility
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to effectively communicate and understand directions
Must be able to understand safety rules, ARAMARK Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned
Great customer service and communication skills
Ability to work and succeed in a team environment
Must complete ServSafe Food Handlers certification
Basic mathematical skills are required. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Previous customer service experience preferred
Successful completion of the ARAMARK Hourly Food Handlers training within the first 30 days of employment
Must be willing to follow all ARAMARK Safety Standards
A background check is required for this position
